I took this picture while I was at the beach for spring break and it just reminds me of how much I love the beach and how relaxing it is to be there. I just can't wait for summer to come along :)

Appreciation

Have you ever just looked around and just wondered how all of beautiful trees, flowers, lakes, oceans, beaches have come about. I was at the beach today and I was just wondering how a beach was made, if it was man-made or if it has been here since the beginning of time. I think it is weird sometimes to think about these things that God made and put on the Earth. Sometimes I think it is good just to stop and look around you and take everything in. Take in the smell of the ocean, the beauty of the trees and the flowers; I don't think people do it enough. You never know, one day all of this could be gone and we will all be missing it if it does go away. So one day just stop and smell the roses around you.

Inuits

For sometime now I have been on this inuit kick and just think how cool would it be if you could say you were an inuit. If you didn't know an inuit is an eskimo but I think that inuit sounds so much cooler. I think if things don't work out in college then I am going to pack my bags move to Canada and become an inuit. I know it would be cold and hard to get accustomed too but they have so many interesting traditions. Although they have parkas with fur on the hoods so I think I would be pretty warm. They are like Native Americans in a way because they have story telling and dancing (and I love to dance, so I would fit right in). They also have their very own language which I think is neat because no one really talks about the language of inuits, its actually called the Inuktitut language. It is still spoken today on radio and TV programs. Another thing that is important to them is family and community and these days you don't see a lot of that. Everyone just wants to get on top for themselves but inuits still see their family as the most important part of their life. Oh and how awesome would it be to live in an igloo during the winter!? I think it would be pretty awesome to live in an igloo and live with nature. Also you would learn how to dog sled which I think would be really sweet to do. I really just think that inuits are awesome and I would be one if I could.

People These Days...

Have you ever met a person that just doesn't get, if you haven't you are one lucky person but if you have I feel your pain. I just do not understand why people choose to do what they do. For instance, say you have a person who is a sophomore in college but she still needs her mom to call her roommate's mother because they are having problems. Like really!? who does that when you are nineteen or twenty years old!? I just wish people would get it sometimes or at least try to stick up for themselves and not call their mommy every time they have a little problem. I mean by now you should be independent getting ready to go into the real world, where your mom is not going to by your side every minute of every day. Sometimes I wish you could just knock some common sense into people to make them realize what they are doing is just plain stupid but that is just my thoughts on some people these days....
